This page has various information about the weapons, characters and various other things with RAVER ][: Carnage Remixed and can prove to be quite helpful when playing the game.

About The Game:

"RAVER ][: Carnage Remixed!" is the second installment in the primary storyboard and picks up the torch where "RAVER: Bliss in Bloodshed!"(Psychotic Edition) left off while also acting as a sort-of reboot. The game takes a darker, more tactical approach to the battle as players will yet again take control of Razor-Sergeant Luna-837 and work to destroy the mutated husks of Retropolia's inhabitants before they completely overrun the land. The game currently has 7 playable levels, an Audio Room where players are able to enjoy the game's soundtrack and the landing interface of a Side Missions mode.Unlike the first game, which relied on the immediate events of the Sergeant's post awakening slaughter fest, RAVER ][ focuses more-so on the atmospheric elements and features darker, more intimidating environments and challenging enemies.

The Sarge

Luna-837 seen in Delta X-Topia. Note the lack of illuminated components.

Officially "Razor-Sergeant Luna-837 of the 19th Citadel Defense Installation"; The Sarge is the fragmented spirit of a man who gave his life in the line of duty during the 2005 Stormsburough Meltdown, 39 years prior to the RAVER series' beginning. He was awakened several days prior to the Vault No.03 Incident by the presence of Dr. Isabella Chambers when she entered the grounds of Stormsburough, his home town and resting place. He later personally encountered Dr. Chambers after the Nexus Peak incident, which not only shocked her but made her pause momentarily and question reality. He's since become mostly silent, very seldom voicing anything.During the encounter; Chambers slipped up, stating that she "killed him 40 years ago" and now... Here he is. but this meeting was cut short when she sent in a squad of mutants to finish him off. It's likely that Luna-837 refused to shoot her because he then had something far more valuable... A confession. He now vows to punish Dr. Chambers and her whole corporate enterprise for their misdeeds to the people of Retropolia, both recently and long ago. Avenging each miserable death one bullet at a time.- He has sickly pale flesh and hollow, black eyes, both are due to the absence of his life force.
- He has several ribbons on his uniform, including the Purple Heart and U.S. Combat Action Ribbon, indicating an extensive career during his mortal life.
- He is exceptionally fast and has overall decent maneuverability.
- Unlike the other soldiers in the game; Luna-837's attire doesn't have many illuminated components. This is because they weren't readily issued in 2005.
- His patch has the original Citadel 19 badge, the one commonly found throughout the game was created several years after the disaster.
- Per the intro of R:BiB; He was awakened as a Dymoxiclyzt, an Avenging Spirit. This can be supported by the way he obtains Lost Souls throughout his battles.
- He won't harm survivors. This is likely because he still considers them his people and won't break his oath to defend them.
- It's thought that he doesn't actually have a soul anymore. This is proven wrong time and time again.
- When he appears in the intro sequence of "The Boonies"(Level 3); His uniform appears to be torn in several places.
- His arms, hat and guns are all stained with blood. This does translate into the playable game.
- Some believe that Luna-837's soul has not crossed over because of his own guilt. He holds himself responsible for the loss of Stormsburough, being as he was unable to shut down an A.L.F-4 Hellfire reactor before it went completely critical.
- He carries his AI Companion, Lilian, around in his pocket, carefully tucked away so as to not drench her in blood. She can be equipped by pressing 5. This is a running joke in the series.
- His voice is extremely raspy and unpleasant sounding due to his corpse-like body lacking the ability to speak fluidly.
- He has a handful of phrases, though nothing compared to his attitude prior to meeting Dr. Chambers.
- Pressing 1 brings up a dedicated melee system in which he can punch and kick. This is exceptionally risky and works best when used against lone mutants.
- The Sarge is voiced by Danaan T.

Weapons

Luna-837 has a reasonably small, yet extremely reliable arsenal of weapons to utilize, making him a significantly greater threat to the infected than most other potential victims.

Inferno.50

The Inferno.50 firing at a pair of mutant soldiers.

An extremely powerful .50 Cal handgun easily capable of splattering several mutants with a single shot; The Inferno.50 is a prime candidate for dealing with pesky hordes in close - mid range.- 54 rounds total.
- Largest single projectile in usuable arsenal.
- Comes with a melee attack for ammo conservation and super-close proximity kills. Press Mouse2 to use.
- The muzzle flash resembles a bird, likely a phoenix as the creature symbolizes rebirth.
- The weapon was built in Stormsburough. This is supported by the Citadel-19 Crest on the slide.

Spas 12

A classic example of 12.Ga Badassery at its finest; the Spas 12 remains as powerful in CQC as it looks awesome. It's a great weapon for clearing out tight alleyways and fighting through large hordes- 48 shells total.
- Largest close-range blast radius in the game.
- Damage and reliability depleted with greater range.

M4 Pulse

Just as the name states; It's a customized, gas-operated M4 with glowiness and specialized ammunition. Fully automatic and ready for action.- 90 rounds total.
- Very small bullet.
- Full Auto.
- Exceptionally accurate at greater distances.
- Great for laying down steady fire on incoming hordes.
- Utilizes a foregrip for even better control.

The Enemy

While Luna-837's rounded arsenal makes him a force to be reckoned with, the enemies can still manage to get the jump on him through several different methods, tactics and varieties. Listed below are the various enemies encountered in the game organized in their hierarchies respectively.

Basic Infected

An infected cybergoth carrying a bloodied wrench.

Infected cybergoth In Mid-Death sequence.

A pipe wielding female mutant closing in on Luna-837.

The basic infected are the main enemy in the series. They're dumb, ugly and hurt like hell. Basic infected typically operate in squads of 7 - 12, but have been encountered operating both alone and in large hordes.- A single gunshot or melee strike will kill them.
- The Inferno.50 can punch through 3-7 with a single shot if they're all grouped up.
- Some may carry melee weapons.
- Sometimes they carry a gun, but they can't use it.
- They're fairly slow, but their sheer numbers can often counter that, making them exceptionally dangerous en-masse.
- They occasionally come after Luna-837 in waves(multiple Pockets). Although instead of waiting for the previous wave to be killed off; they will begin collecting into a horde. This can unfortunately cause lag and has yet to be changed.
- Sometimes the infected will ignore the player, this trait being seen mostly in Novania City. This is not a bug.
- The eyes of a slain mutant will immediately blacken as they collapse to the ground. Eye trails are still present on some mutants during "Death", indicating that they may not actually die instantly, but quickly thereafter.

Bursters

A female Hazmat Mutant waving to the viewer from a Teaser image.

Exploding hazmat mutants from the deep, dark depths of Retropolia; Hazmat Mutant are a menace.- Hazmat Mutant can be killed in a single hit.
- They often carry melee weapons. Most being armed with lead pipes or large wrenches.
- Upon death; their bodies explode with an acidic cloud that occasionally obscures Luna-837's vision.
- Most Hazmat Mutant typically have a biohazard symbol above them.

Sprinter

Infected female cybergoths with significantly greater speed than their peers, Sprinters can act as scouts and make quick work of unprepared players. The most common is seen adorned strictly in blue glow bands and has pink eyes. There are 2 special variants of Sprinter, though they're seldom encountered.- Like regular infected; Sprinters can be killed in a single hit.
- They don't carry any weapons.
- They should be dealt with from a distance; The Inferno.50 works best.
- Sprinters have a distinct sound that gives them away; They can be heard hyperventilating from behind their gas masks.
- The Sprinter makes an appearance on the "Know Your Enemy" picture, which displays the most up-to-date hitbox system of the infected.

Sentinel

Sentinels are infected soldiers sporting body armor and an M4 Pulse. They have decent speed and a fair health pool.- They move slightly faster than the average mutant, though come up short compared to the Sprinter.
- Their body armor does a fair job at protecting them from shotgun blasts and small arms fire, but the Inferno.50 will still rip them apart in only a few hits.
- Some Sentinels may drop items for collection.

Battle-Cats

A female counterpart to the Sentinel; Battle Cats are fairly quick and mow down targets as soon as they're in range. They move fairly quick and occasionally operate as leaders of smaller mutant squads, but are fairly easy to take down with a few well placed hits.- There are currently 2 variants; Black and Gray.
- Battle Cats prefer a close-medium range engagement.
- They're armed with regular M4 assault rifles, as they fire regular bullets rather than the pulse rounds used by Sentinels.
- Their guns have flashlights which help them spot their prey.
- Battle-Cats let out a long screech upon death.
- Several survivors appear to be in Battle-Cat outfits.

L-2 Scouter

The L-2 Scouter is a lightweight, extremely fast armored car used by Cyclone R&G.Co for high-speed pursuits and recon missions. They sneak up and pursue their targets alone in order to catch/kill them without detection.- They have fairly decent armor and can take significant damage before they finally self destruct.
- The drivers are extremely awful and may occasionally lose control of the vehicle.
- Equipped with a single small caliber machine gun that's typically used for light/none-armored targets. Their guns are rather unreliable against Luna-837's body armor so long as the player maintains a keen eye.

T.A.R.A (Light Attack Drone Prototype)

T.A.R.A is a prototype light attack drone activated personally by Dr. Chambers in order to guard the bridge. It's typical use is in law enforcement and riot control as it can glide over crowds and engage armored targets with decent reliability, but its purpose at the time of the encounter is area denial, preventing both infected and potential hosts from passing into the greater area.- T.A.R.A's guns can destroy cars and disorient the players amidst the burning car wrecks.
- The drone seems to follow an automated path in order to ensure nothing passes its patrol zone.
- It's likely that Dr. Chambers only activated T.A.R.A in an effort to look like she was publicly taking action against the mutants. This is far from the truth.
- For such an advanced piece of weaponry, T.A.R.A has extremely inaccurate guns and resorts mostly to blanketing a large area in suppressive fire.
- It's rumored that T.A.R.A will be removed in a later patch, though nothing's confirmed.

Nekro-Pony

Best described as the "Furry From Hell"; The Nekro-Pony is an extremely dangerous mutant easily capable of shutting down even skilled fps players in only a few hits. She moves swiftly and delivers lightning fast strikes, but lacks the ability to close the gap when engaged in Sideswiping or circle-strafing maneuvers. This is likely because her helmet restricts her peripheral vision.- She is so far the only Tier-6 Special Infected to exist in the series with an enemy combatant role.
- The Nekro-Pony is significantly faster than the Sergeant. Fleeing is an awful idea and will Only result in Luna-837 getting his ass whupped time and time again.
- She dual-wields a pair of razor sharp short swords, each with pink trail effects that give away her movement pattern. They can also disorient players if not taken into account.
- To successfully defeat the Nekro-Pony. Skip the shotgun ammo pickup found outside the path, lead her out of the pathway whilst outmaneuvering strikes and keeping a constant stream of fire on her. When your ammunition's been completely depleted, obtain the shotgun ammo pickup and get the jump on her. Be careful; she'll be hot on your tail!
- Her blades typically do anywhere from 5 - 35 damage per attack, making her an extremely dangerous opponent.
- Despite only being a "Mini-Boss"; the Nekro-Pony is the Most dangerous enemy in the game.
- Per a DD-214 found in Novania City; the Nekro-Pony's real name is "Valerie Lynn Tekschocke". It also states she was an E3 Lance-Corporal of the U.S.M.C. This is reinforced by the tattoos found on her upper arms.
- Her phrases will randomly become distorted and robotic; this is likely due to damaged electronics within her helmet.
- The Nekro-Pony is voiced by Juliane Ibrahim.

Justin Downes

Justin Downes is Dr. Chambers' Head of Security and Top Man for all things regarding the protection of the company's best interests. He's extremely tall and muscular, easily capable of tanking hits like a living battleship and dishing them right back out.He has the highest health of any enemy in the game, but lacks the speed to make him a perfect opponent.Despite being the official boss fight of the game; He is significantly inferior to the Nekro-Pony, lacking both speed and maneuverability that could otherwise benefit him against Luna-837.- Justin uses a dismounted street signal as a 2-handed melee weapon, which has a distinct hit screen.
- Justin Downes has the ability to jump several meters into the air.
- His melee attack will do 5 - 20 damage per hit, while his gun can usually shoot for a decent 10 - 30 if caught point-blank.
- Justin is a beast, but falls when caught in a circle strafe battle
- Luna-837 can obtain Justin's soul upon killing him. As well as granting +30 HP, a popup will state that Justin's soul has been damned to darkness. This counters Justin's "I'm sending your spectral ass back to Hell!" statement.
- Justin Downes is voiced by Adam Gold.

The Soundtrack

The soundtrack of RAVER ][: Carnage Remixed is fairly straightforward and offers a blend of techno, trance and industrial. The most aggressive of them is "Shut up and Bleed!/ Valerie's Song"; A relentless, demolishing techno track used as the Nekro-Pony's battle theme.RAVER ][ is the first game in which Lead Nexus Studio did a full in-house soundtrack. All their other games have been a mix of commissioned work, free/stock music or basic fillers, with the occasional piece done by their own in-house composer.Full songs from the game's soundtrack can be heard in the Audio Room at the player's choosing.Songs found in the game to date include:- Something Creeps My Way...
- An Army Of One
- Road To Novania
- Death's A Party
- Convoy Calamity
- No Home For A Heartbreaker.
- Blood, Fur, Neon, Yay!
- Requem for Stormsburough
- Novania Streets
- Shut up and Bleed!/Valerie's Song.
It is currently unknown as to whether the last filler song will be removed, though it's speculated it'll be removed over the next few months.

The Environment

The environmets of RAVER ][ are derelict, overly industrialized shithole towns with mechanical functionality prioritized over civilian life.
